Costa Rica & Guatemala Fishing Package
Our adventures begin from either San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO) or Guatemala City (GUA).
Fishermen are only 30 to 40 minutes flying time from the prime fishing regions on the Pacific and Caribbean coasts, with two regional airlines providing daily service from the San Jose airport. Sail Fish Bay is a short 2 hour drive from Guatemala City.
Both San Jose and Guatemala City are regularly served by Delta, American, Continental, US Air, and Taca airlines.
We will arrange for your pick-up from the airport and transportation to and from the hotel to your Lodge departure location (van, regional airline, etc). In Costa Rica the transportation to the lodge from the local airport is provided for by the Lodge.
Most fishermen travel from San Jose or Guatemala City to their fishing locations. Travel occurs in the early morning to allow for a day of fishing, if desired.
Lodging in San Jose or Guatemala City can be included in the travel package as and option. Food and entertainment in the arrival city are up to the fishermen. Extra fishing days or special trips are individually priced.
Fishing licenses and departure taxes ($26 in Costa Rica and $3 in Guatemala) are your responsibility.
The Charter Fishing boats have fishing equipment that you can use. The lodges will provide breakfast and dinner and work with the boats in providing lunch. The Chartered boats work hard to make your fishing an memorable and exciting adventure.
At Las Graviotas, fishermen can choose the inclusive plan with lodging (food and bar included and has and excellent chef). Las Gaviotas also offers a non-food & drink plan.
Costa Rica requires separate fishing licenses for salt water and fresh water. One or both can be purchased at the lodge.
